PRE-WAX TIPS

  • For an efficient waxing session, arrive to your appointment with 1/4” or 6mm long hair. If your hair is longer, we’ll trim it to the desired length at the start of your appointment.

  • To prevent ingrown hairs and prep your skin, take a warm shower and use a loofah prior to your waxing appointment.

  • Ensure you enjoy a light meal or snack prior to your waxing session, as this reduces pain sensitivity. For improved pain tolerance, an Aspirin or Ibuprofen can also be taken 30 - 45 minutes prior to your waxing appointment.

  • When you arrive for your waxing appointment, let us know if you have any skin concerns (tags, moles, cuts, etc.) so we can tailor your service to your needs.

  • Avoid tanning, oils, gels and lotions at least 24 hours prior to your appointment.

  • At the start of your waxing appointment, you will be provided with baby wipes to freshen up.

POST-WAX MAINTENANCE

  • For at least 24 hours post-wax, avoid saunas, sunbathing, steam rooms, intense exercise and intimate experiences.

  • Regularly exfoliate and moisturise your skin to maintain skin health.

  • For at least 24 hours after your waxing appointment, avoid use of oils, perfumes, gels, and lotions on freshly waxed areas.

  • Allow your freshly waxed skin to heal and remain irritant free in the first couple of days after your waxing appointment by wearing loose garments and comfortable clothes.

  • Promote natural hair growth by skipping shaving between wax appointments. Shaving can cause the hair to grow-in more coarse which will be uncomfortable and harder to maintain.
